"Heresy Grows from Sex. Heresy Grows from Big Boobs. Atavistic desires beget only doom."

Cult Hellenikos, or alternatively Alexandreianism (Gk. Αλεξανδρειος), is the official state philosophy of Arche Philhellenike. However, the term Cult Hellenikos is a misnomer, as the term Cult is used to point at the external religious practices, while Cult Hellenikos emphasizes the status of the mind. The cult is generally not classified as a religion, or if it is, classified as a secular one, as the cult fields no set of beliefs involving the supernatural: atheists, theists, and deists are all welcome to the Cult, as long as none push their beliefs unto another.

BeliefsEdit

As the alias Alexandreianism would imply, the Cult Hellenikos largely venerates Megas Alexandros in a way most similar to how Buddhists venerate Buddha, although with much more wariness, since the Cult Hellenikos denounces some of things that Megas Alexandros enjoyed, notably alcohol and sex. The most predominant adage of the Cult Hellenikos would be a line in the "Oath" of Megas Alexandros that reads "For me, any good foreigner is a Greek and any bad Greek is worse than a barbarian." Although the authenticity of this quote is contested, the questionable authenticity is deemed irrelevant, as the Cult itself points at xenophobia as the cardinal sin.

In effect, the Cult Hellenikos aims to do what the Americans did: foster a salad-bowl/melting pot of multiculture, bound together in the Cult's case by Hellenism. To emulate this, the Cult Hellenikos confirms the separation of church and state to prevent a religious group from suppressing the others. This is a primary factor in the relative peace between the secular humanists, the Christians, the Muslims, and other religious minorities of Meizotere Hellas, as they have agreed to respect the Cult and touch upon sensitive issues only in academical fields. Extremists of any faction are considered heretical by the Cult, and are not subject to protection of civil law if they have been confirmed to have engaged in violent activities. The dealings with extremists are the only allowed exception to the separation of church and state, and even there state actions against extremists are first evaluated by a multi-religious council as to prevent abuses.

Private aspects of Cult Hellenikos exists, which largely emphasizes charity. To that matter, the state collects a tax similar to the zakat (but indepedent of it. Muslims may apply for an exemption as they already have the zakat), equalling 4% of the total revenue of a household minus the living costs. However, pacifism on itself is not endorsed by the Cult, as the Cult doctrine recognizes violence as a means to an end, although to be avoided as violence usually carries hidden costs.
