Xylotech, or wooden technology, is an alternate branch of mechanical engineering employed by the Lagikoi, much akin to the comparison between steampunk and modern engineering. As its name would imply, Xylotech relies primarily on usage of wood over metal as the primary building material. This has several implications, as wood is a common material especially in light of relative lack of iron.
However, Xylotech is considered a heterodox approach: the vast majority of the Territorial Independence Army's arsenal is based primarily on metal even before the foreign forces took an active interest there, and by the times of the Second Lampardian War, Xylotech is considered dead, taken up as primarily a hobby by enthusiasts and not for practical uses as imported steel allowed TIA to be more liberal on the usage of metal.
